The viral thermometer is an indicator that obtains the moving average of new cases for the last 10 days, which is used by the Mazatlán government to monitor the evolution of the pandemic in the municipality.

Viral thermomether description:

  • 35 cases or less and very low risk of community contagion.
  • 26 to 38 cases under control, without immediate risk of outbreak. Reinforce control in areas of risk.
  • 39 cases or more, high risk of epidemic outbreak.

This week we added 891 recovered, 628 new cases and 8 deaths due to updating to the platform, placing the active cases in the municipality of Mazatlán at 932, for which we are in second place in the state after Culiacán, which is in first place with 4,168 active cases. Our COVID thermometer decreases and sits at 75.5 degrees COVID. We are still in red. It is vitally important to follow and respect the health protocols in force in the municipality to prevent COVID cases from continuing to increase.
