El Recodo named in 1822 for the angle formed by the Presidio River at that height, and today is recognized as the birthplace of the mother of all bands, where the famous band El Recodo de Don Cruz Lizárraga was born, a few meters from the entrance of the community is located the house of Don Cruz converted into a museum for more than two decades.
